5-Day Huangshan Tour: 2 Nights on the Mountain + Xihai Grand Canyon, Hongcun, Xidi & Xin’an River
Day 1 — Tunxi (Huangshan City) → Mt. Huangshan / Yungu Cable Car Up
Transfer from the city to Huangshan Scenic Area. Take the Yungu Cable Car up to the mountain. Visit key highlights such as Shixin Peak, Black Tiger Pine, Brush Pen Peak (Mengbi Shenghua), and Monkey Watching the Sea.
Overnight: Xihai Hotel (on the mountain)
Day 2 — Xihai Viewpoints + Xihai Grand Canyon (North Route)
After breakfast, visit Paiyun Pavilion and hike the Xihai Grand Canyon (North Route). Take the Xihai mini-train / ground cable uphill (subject to operation). After lunch, continue to Bright Summit Peak (Guangmingding) and Flying-over Rock (Feilai Stone). In the evening, head to a recommended viewpoint for a spectacular sunset (weather permitting).
Overnight: Baiyun Hotel (on the mountain)
Day 3 — Sunrise at Bright Summit Peak → Yuping / Welcoming Pine → Hongcun
Watch sunrise at Bright Summit Peak (weather permitting). Return for breakfast, then explore Aoyu Peak, Lotus Pavilion, Yuping Pavilion, and the iconic Welcoming Pine. Take the Yuping Cable Car down the mountain and transfer to Hongcun Village, known as a “living Chinese ink painting.”
Overnight: Boutique hotel / guesthouse in Hongcun
Day 4 — Hongcun → Xidi (UNESCO) → Tunxi Old Street
After breakfast, explore Hongcun Scenic Area, including South Lake Academy, Wang Family Ancestral Hall, and Chengzhi Hall. Then travel to Xidi Village (UNESCO) to visit East Garden, West Garden, Taoli Garden, and Hu Family Ancestral Hall. Return to Huangshan City (Tunxi) and enjoy a relaxed evening stroll at Tunxi Old Street.
Overnight: Huashan Huiyan Hotel (Tunxi)
Day 5 — Shexian Huizhou Ancient City → Xin’an River Landscape Gallery Cruise → Departure
After breakfast, drive to Shexian Ancient City to visit the famous Xu Guo Stone Archway, Huizhou Prefecture Government Office, and Doushan Street. In the afternoon, transfer to the Xin’an River Landscape Gallery for a scenic boat cruise, enjoying river views and local cultural stops (activities may vary by schedule).
After the tour, we will drop you off at Huangshan North Railway Station, Tunxi Airport, or your hotel.
